Let's explore our remarkable ocean! Our oceans cover more than 70 percent of the Earth’s surface, and they contain an incredible 94 per cent of the Earth’s living species. There is so much to discover and explore! In this class we will cover a different topic in Oceanography each week . The class structure for the class will involve a presentation and then virtual tour of a new point in Oceanography. Throughout the presentation discussion will be encouraged and welcomed. During my time working in Montessori schools I was given the opportunity to design and implement a summer camp program that integrated scientific and cultural exploration with hands-on projects. It was a joy to teach and assist my students as they conquered these previously uncharted territories and I am only too happy to replicate that adventure here on Outschool. I have taken various college level physical science courses including Oceanography.
