Nouns, adjectives, verbs, and adverbs are important parts of speech that students need to master to become strong readers and writers. This class combines grammar and games to create a unique, engaging, and meaningful lesson that is designed to help students retain the information being taught. Our class will begin with an interactive lesson on nouns, adjectives, verbs, and adverbs. Once students have a strong understanding of these parts of speech, we will move on to Mad Libs and the students will work together to create as many "whacky" stories as we can!

Students will be voting in the beginning part of our class. They can either use a white board and marker to show their answers or use a piece of paper and pencil.

I have a bachelor's degree in elementary and special education, two active teaching licenses in Arizona and reading and ESL endorsements. I've been teaching since 2017 and I'm working towards a master's in child and adolescent development.
My goal as your learner’s teacher is to inspire them to be lifelong learners. Learning is scary and requires a lot of vulnerability to take chances knowing you could make a mistake. I pride myself on helping students feel safe, confident, and secure in themselves. I’ve always seen tremendous growth in students when they are in an environment that allows for them to safely make mistakes and learn from them.
