수업 소개
In this one time course, we will have fun learning about the disgusting eating habits of several animals. We will look at pictures of the animals using a slide presentation. As we discuss these animals, we will locate their habitats on a map, and learn other facts about the animals. Students are encouraged to ask questions and participate. We will quickly vote on the most disgusting eater, and play a game of Kahoot! at the end of class. This class, while informal and fun, is also educational and full of scientific information. Students need no prior knowledge to enjoy this class. A quick tutorial link for those new to Kahoot will be included in the classroom for enrolled students. Students will NOT need to use a second device, or to split their screens to play.

Students will participate in conversations, ask questions, and interact with other students.
Students will test their knowledge in a game of Kahoot!

Kahoot is a COPPA approved resource. No information is stored about the users. Learners will not need to create an account to play. I will provide a link via the Zoom chat function, and all the learner needs to do is click on that link and enter a Game PIN which I will share and a nickname or name of their choice.

I've been studying science all my life. My father was a renowned herpetologist. As such, I grew up surrounded by animals, plants, and other life forms. I followed my interests in college by studying biology as well as education. I taught middle school science for 21 years, then worked as the middle school science education specialist for the State Department of Education in Alabama for 6 years. In retirement, I am still actively involved in many scientific communities, and stay engaged with groups such as the North American Association for Environmental Education and the National Science Teachers Association. I am passionate and knowledgeable about the study of life, and about passing on this passion to youngsters.리뷰
