Puppets will help the students shop for common grocery items!

Students will learn how to identify common food items at a grocery store using props such as fruits, meats, bread, and drinks like milk and juice. We also will use whiteboards to have the student identify items on a grocery list. We will then have students make their own grocery list and draw foods!

Class time will be structured with a brief introductory period followed by songs about food, number guessing game breaks, picking out foods they like to eat and do not want to eat, followed by "purchasing the food" with money.

We will cover fruits, vegetables, meats, milk, shopping lists, what foods we like, what foods we don't like and how to pay for the food!
