문법 시간! 포괄적인 문법 전체 커리큘럼- 중학교 - 6학년 7학년 8학년

Each week in this ongoing class, I will use engaging slides and activities to help students learn grammar skills necessary for reading and writing. Each class will focus on one aspect of grammar to reach mastery by the end of class. 

Each class will consist of an engagement activity, a mini-lesson on the topic of the week, practice using the week’s topic, a short game to practice the grammar skill, and an interactive activity for students to have a hands-on opportunity to practice. Activities may include: editing a paragraph, writing a paragraph, dissecting a sentence, worksheets, and more. 

The in-class worksheet practice will occur during the last 3-5 minutes of class. If you do not have access to a printer, your student can use a plain piece of paper instead.

Each week, an optional homework assignment will be given. Students can submit homework via comment or private message for feedback.

Students are welcome to join at ANY point in the year!

June 2: Identify the subject and verb of sentences
June 9: Identify dependent and independent clauses
June 16: pronoun and antecedent agreement
June 23: Singular and plural possessive nouns
June 30: past, present, and future tense verbs 
July 7: dashes and ellipsis 
July 14: comparative and superlative adverbs and adjectives
July 21: correlative conjunctions 
July 28: commas with compound and complex sentences
August 4: declarative, interrogative, imperative, or exclamatory sentences
August 11: phrases or clauses
August 18: plurals of compound nouns
August 25: Complete, fragment, and run-on sentences
September 1: Subject vs. object pronouns including I vs. me
September 8: transitive & intransitive verbs
September 15: identify and order adjectives
September 22: appositive and appositive phrases
September 29: relative pronouns: who & whom
October 6: progressive verb tenses
October 13: compound subjects and compound predicates
October 20: vague pronoun references
October 27: Infinitives & infinitive phrases
November 3: Is the sentence simple, compound, complex, or compound-complex?
November 10: Subject verb agreement
