This fun and focused 4-week summer camp is the perfect way for rising sixth graders to review key math concepts and prepare for the upcoming school year. Designed to be both engaging and productive, this class helps students solidify foundational skills while introducing them to the types of topics and problem-solving strategies they’ll need for success in middle school.

𝗧𝗢𝗣𝗜𝗖𝗦 𝗖𝗢𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗘𝗗

🔢 𝙒𝙀𝙀𝙆 𝟭 dives into the world of fractions, decimals, and percents, helping students understand how these concepts relate to one another in real-life contexts. We’ll also work on ratios, rates, and proportions, using visual models and hands-on activities to make these sometimes-tricky topics clear and relatable.

➗ 𝙒𝙀𝙀𝙆 𝟮 focuses on operations with fractions—starting with addition and subtraction, then moving on to multiplication and division. These classes will help students build number sense, develop fluency, and gain confidence in working with parts of a whole.

📈 𝙒𝙀𝙀𝙆 𝟯 brings an introduction to integers and rational numbers, where students will learn how to work with positive and negative numbers, and how they appear in everyday situations like temperatures and finances. We’ll also explore algebraic thinking, with a class on writing and evaluating expressions—helping students transition from arithmetic to pre-algebra.

🔶 𝙒𝙀𝙀𝙆 𝟰 explores key geometry topics like area, volume, and surface area, giving students a strong visual and conceptual understanding of measurement in three dimensions. We’ll wrap things up with a problem-solving session focused on multi-step word problems, where students will apply everything they’ve learned to real-world challenges.


𝗖𝗟𝗔𝗦𝗦 𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗨𝗖𝗧𝗨𝗥𝗘

This class is designed to be engaging, interactive, and productive! Students will learn through a mix of lectures, games, discussions, slides, video clips, and hands-on activities. Graphic organizers and worksheets will help students practice their skills, while optional review sheets allow for additional learning outside of class time.

Students will have plenty of opportunities to interact with the teacher and classmates through group discussions, activities, and practice exercises. Each session encourages participation, ensuring that all students get a chance to apply their learning and strengthen their confidence.
