This will be a one time class where we will learn all about the life in the day/night of a firefly. We will start off the lesson by reading a story about fireflies. We will then discuss the story and what we think a firefly does for fun. This will help the children develop critical thinking as well as turn taking, and creativity. After the discussion we will learn some fun facts about these little bugs! We will gain a better understanding on what they eat, where they sleep, if they lay eggs, how long they live for and much more! We will end the class with an open ended art project.

Hello everyone! My name is Ashley, I live in the United States, throughout the last 12 years I have been a preschool teacher, after-school program director and a general manager. I built my way up in the same company and have worn many hats. I have in depth experience working with children of all ages. In 2011, I received my bachelors degree in human development and Human Resources with a concentration in Early Childhood Education. More recently, since 2020, I have been teaching on Outschool. This has been my favorite position yet!! What I love about education and teaching children is the connection that I am able to form with them. I want children to feel comfortable and have fun learning. Aside from teaching, I have two children of my very own who I homeschool.
