Come join me for this one time interactive class as I read the popular children’s story, Go Away Big Green Monster! by Ed Emberly. During this class, your child will be introduced to the parts of a book. Students will have the opportunity to follow along and join in with me while I read this story. We will discuss the story, focusing on monsters, colors, and the vocabulary for parts of the head. Next, we will complete a monster craft. I will also include an optional PDF of a worksheet to...
Students will learn parts of the head and face, as well as, their colors while listening to a fun monster story! Students will learn the parts of a book. Students will practice pre-reading skills such as reading from left to right and top to bottom. Students will understand words represent a spoken word and convey a message. Students will answer simple questions about the story. Students will describe elements in a story, for example, characters and/or setting (time, place, and/or environment).
