ABOUT ME
I earned a college degree in Botany from Rutgers University, and a master’s degree in School Psychology from Yeshiva University. I have worked as a psychologist and a teacher. As a psychologist I diagnosed and treated children who were having difficulty learning. I worked in the classroom helping teachers determine strategies to help their students succeed. I am also a portrait artist! I love to draw the faces of children! I have many awards through the Atlanta Portrait Society including an Award of Merit (2016). In addition, I love to teach drawing classes! I have a passion to teach children and help them develop their creative talents! I have worked as a drawing instructor for a company called Young Rembrandts. Drawing involves a tremendous number of cognitive skills such as planning, sequencing, memory, and visual motor integration! These skills are important for classroom learning! I enjoy teaching at OUTSCHOOL very much. I offer students a variety of classes including, but not limited to Art History drawing classes, Realistic Animal Portraits and Anime Portrait Drawing classes. Additionally, my Private 1:1 tutoring classes are popular for those students who prefer individualized attention. My family and I live in Atlanta, Georgia. I have three children! When I am not working, I enjoy hiking with my family and playing the cello. I would love the opportunity to do drawing classes for your child. If they succeed in learning, then I am happy!
