In order for learners to make a granny square bag in week 6, using the joining techniques they will learn in class, learners are expected to make 4 of each of the granny squares we make in weeks 1-4 of this course. This will give them lots of practice, and let them finish the course with their very own crocheted creation! Each granny square typically takes about 30 minutes to make, depending on the difficulty of the pattern and the skill level of the crocheter.학습 평가

Does your upper-beginner level crocheter want to expand their crochet skills and explore the exciting world of granny squares? Join me for this fun and engaging 6-week course where learners ages 8-12 will learn to make 5 different granny square patterns. We will learn about crochet pattern abbreviations, how to change colours in a granny square, the treble crochet stitch, and the standing double crochet stitch. In the final week, we will learn blocking techniques, and how to join your squares together to make a bag! This course is intended for upper-beginner level learners. Learners should already know the chain, double crochet, and slip stitches before enrolling in this course. I have been crocheting for over 30 years! My mother taught me how to crochet when I was 8 years old, and I've never stopped. Crocheting is a wonderful way to release stress and anxiety, while being creative at the same time. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- CLASS BREAKDOWN: Each class will follow this format: 1. Introductions, get to know you activity (week 1 only, 5 minutes) 2. Show and tell for learners wanting to share their projects from the previous week (weeks 2-6, 5 minutes) 3. Lesson on this week's granny square pattern (rest of class time) Please see the syllabus for a description of the granny squares we will be making each week. Circle in a Square Granny Square
Granny squares come in all shapes and sizes! This week we are learning to make a circle granny square, then turning it into a square. We will use four colours of yarn for this pattern.
