In this one-time class, students will learn how to draw and classify triangles based on both their side lengths and angle measures. In terms of their side lengths, we will classify triangles as either scalene, isosceles, or equilateral. In terms of their angle measures, we will classify triangles as either right, acute, or obtuse. This class will introduce lines of symmetry, as well. Together, we will draw triangles of each type and describe their characteristics. As we practice these skills, I will share useful strategies and tips and encourage a positive view of math.
	This class is part of a series of one-time workshops designed to help students learn the fundamentals of geometry. Other topics in this series include: Lines, Rays, & Segments; Define and Calculate Area & Perimeter; Measure & Draw Angles with a Protractor; and Draw & Classify Quadrilaterals. This series also presents the option of a 1-on-1 class in which students choose topics from this list that they wish to explore. It’s like a personalized buffet of geometry learning.
	The 1-on-1 approach allows me to customize the class so that students can focus on the topics most relevant to them and work at their preferred pace. I can also address specific goals or needs a student might have. In addition, students can take this class more than once, and each time they can deepen their understanding of certain skills and concepts, gain additional practice, or shift to a different focus.
