수업 소개
In this class, we will look at the history of gardens in the Victorian Era (1837 CE – 1901 CE). In the first half of the class, students will learn about what was grown and how the different plants were used in cooking and home products. During the last portion of the class, students will explore Victorian gardens in art and photographs. There will also be discussion points during the class, for the students to talk about the gardens and their own garden plans. We will map the designs and discuss what we would like to plant. The class will have a slideshow with lecture points, and for the art pieces. I encourage discussion among the students, but this is optional, depending on the student's comfort level.
