General Supplies for the Budding Gardener
-Garden Space
-Seeds and/or seedlings
-Seed Starting Supplies: soil, containers, lights, heat mat, water
-Seed Storage
-Camera
-Gardening Gloves
-Knee pad (optional, but highly recommended)
-Trowel, rake, etc
-Irrigation


Meeting Specific Supplies
— For Show & Tell Meetings:  Pictures, videos, and/or items to show.  
— For Seed Starting Meetings: Seed starting supplies and seeds, water.
— For Garden Planning Meetings:  Graph paper, ruler/straight edge, pencil, colored pencils, seed catalogs.

Learners should have at minimum, a small space where they can grow their own garden.  This may be a community garden, some pots on the balcony or even just a windowsill.  Some of the activities involve soil and may be messy, depending on your learner.  Time spent gardening should average about 1hr per week. At first, less time is needed, and at peak, more time is needed. The size of the garden and equipment used also influences the amount of time dedicated to gardening.
