Hello! My name is Jennifer Lewis! I am a passionate Reading Intervention Teacher working at a cyber charter school. I have six years of teaching experience and LOVE teaching students how to use decoding strategies to learn to read. I have two daughters, one who hated to read when she was in the primary grades but after she learned to read, she now reads books like "Gone with the Wind" and "Scarlett." I love seeing the growth that children make when they are able to learn the skills and use the strategies to read! It is my life goal to become an expert in reading instruction and achieve nationally board certified as a reading specialist. Early interventions target students who exhibit reading difficulties and prevent the student from having long-term reading disabilities. According to the National Reading Panel (NICHD, 2000), if you provide primary students with direct and explicit reading instruction, you will substantially decrease the number of students who struggle with reading. This is my mission to teach your student the skills they need to be successful readers. 

In addition, I started my own digital marketing business and build websites for business owners who are looking for a way to get their brand in the public eye and generate more customers. In 2012, I graduated from University of Maryland University College with a masters in Instructional Technology. This degree, my education, and experiences have taught me the valuable skills that I can help your student build a website so they can sell their products or services to others or build websites for others to make money.
