수업 소개
This is a fun intro class to the cool process of needle felting also known as wool painting. This is a dry felting process using a barbed needle and wool roving to create a felted fox. Suggested age is 10 and up due to the sharp barbed needle required. The dry felting process of needle felting is achieved by continuously poking and stabbing the pure wool roving which causes the fibers to interlock and felt. Students will form and felt his body. We will then add his head and details. Everything is done using the needle (no glue). I will work each step of making the fox with the class.

Items to Purchase: Barbed needles (at least 2 in case of breakage) .5 oz packages of wool roving in white, black and orange - Cost less than $2 per color or you could buy a variety pack Small foam block - Cost is about $2 I get my supplies at Hobby Lobby locally. Some Michaels have a few items. My favorite roving brand is Artiste (fiber is not too smooth and easier to felt) Another option is to order from Amazon, Ebay etc.
