In this ESL phonics class, I focus on helping students develop a strong foundation in reading and pronunciation through the understanding of phonics. Phonics is a method that teaches the relationships between letters and their sounds, which is crucial for reading and speaking English accurately.

What Your Child Will Learn:

Letter-Sound Relationships: Students will learn the sounds associated with each letter and letter combination. This helps them decode new words and improves their reading fluency.

Blending Sounds: We practice blending individual sounds together to form words. This skill is essential for reading new and unfamiliar words independently.

Word Families: Students will explore groups of words that have similar patterns (e.g., cat, hat, bat) to help them recognize and read words more quickly.

Spelling and Pronunciation: By understanding phonics rules, students will improve their spelling and pronunciation skills, which enhances both their reading and speaking abilities.

Building Vocabulary: As students learn to decode words, they’ll also build their vocabulary, which supports their overall language development.

Class Structure:

Interactive Lessons: the classes include engaging activities like songs, games, and hands-on exercises to make learning phonics enjoyable.
