Not only is reading an essential life skill, but it can be a source of entertainment. In this class, students dive into a classic novel for this age group. Through completing class activities, students will be practicing reading comprehension skills, identifying plot events, describing characters, determining problems, defining vocabulary words, and writing a literary response. Each lesson has a to-do list with instructions (read, answer questions, define vocabulary, watch answer videos, complete Blooket quiz). The instructor will send weekly progress reports on Fridays if work has been completed. The final activity can be submitted for teacher feedback :).
