In this course, we will navigate through the novel Frindle by Andrew Clements. Each week we will focus on a new element of literary analysis to enhance reading comprehension. In addition, each week will be accompanied by vocabulary development and discussion. We will discuss the elements and storyline of the Novel Frindle as we follow the main character throughout his school year. CLASS SCHEDULE Chapters must be read *BEFORE* each lesson to keep the progress of the class moving forward quickly. We will read/review small portions of the text during class. Week 1: Chapters 1-3 Focus: Character & Plot analysis Week 2: Chapter 4-7 Focus: Cause & Effect Week 3: Chapter 8-11 Focus: Text Connections Week 4: Chapters 12-15 Final Quiz: Kahoot Battle ** THIS COURSE WILL BE CANCELED IF THERE ARE LESS THAN 4 LEARNERS** So, invite your friends to join in the fun!

Hey there! My name is Kaylani (I go by Teacher Kaylani or Mrs. K).
I am a state-certified teacher with experience in both Middle and Elementary school. I hold an M.Ed in Educational Leadership, a Bachelor's in Communication, and a TESOL certificate.
It is my passion to help students gain ( and keep) a love for learning. Learning should be valuable and fun.
Today, I work with children and adults from all levels and walks of life to help them progress to success in Science, Reading, and Math skills and confidence. You will even find the occasional Art class infused with Social Studies.
