Friendship Skills for Kids: Finding, Building, and Keeping Friends
In this four-session class, students will learn how to make friends, build strong friendships, and handle tricky situations with kindness and confidence. Using interactive discussions, role-playing, and fun activities, we will explore key friendship skills based on "Friends: Making Them and Keeping Them" by Patti Kelley Criswell.

At the start of each class, students will engage in an interactive reflection activity. They will practice sharing their reflections with the group and increasing their comfort with sharing parts of themselves with others. 

Each class is focused on a different set of friendship topics. That said, they will all involve 3 similar interactive elements: 

1. Each class involve one role-playing activity, where students write and read a script with a partner and act it out in front of the other students. 
2. Each class have one game students play together to build relationships and trust. 
3. Each class will have friendship related craft or hands-on element - supply list below - that we will create together. 

At the end of every session, we will share one thing we are going to try before our next session and encourage each other to go out there and make some amazing new friends!

CRAFT SCHEDULE: 
Session 1: Finding Friends & Starting Conversations
Craft: Friendship Bracelets 
Supplies: Embroidery floss or yarn, beads (optional), tape

Session 2: Building Strong Friendships
Craft: Friendship Flowers 
Supplies: Printed template, scissors, glue, coloring media - crayons, pencils, markers -, and card stock paper (colored is ok) for background. 


Session 3: Solving Friendship Problems
Craft: Friendship Puzzle 
Supplies: Print out and coloring materials - print puzzle on card stock for best results. 

Session 4: Being a Good Friend Every Day
Craft: "I Am a Good Friend" Mini Book
Supplies: 4 sheets of paper, markers, stickers (optional), stapler

This class is great for kids who want to feel more confident in making and keeping friends in a fun and supportive setting.
