*NO LIVE MEETINGS* This FLEX class is perfect for those who have busy schedules and have difficulty committing to a class that meets at the same time every week. As stated above, there are no live meetings for FLEX classes. This is part 3 of my beginner Flex classes but can be taken before the other two classes (Monster Fun and Toy Adventure). What you will get when you enrol in this course: - Learners will watch a video (made by me) where I will introduce and teach the topic of the week. I will be speaking English in my videos since this is a beginners class and I want to make sure that everyone understands. To go along with the vocabulary words, there will also be new verbs and target sentence frames each week. - A handout will be provided that can be used during or after watching the lesson. - There will be an activity of the week (drawing, quiz, games, craft, etc.). I will also sometimes utilize Nearpod. - Students will engage with me by commenting or reacting to my weekly posts. I highly encourage learners to send videos of themselves practicing the vocabulary and sentence frames that we are focusing on. - Students will also be able to send in their completed worksheets so that I can review them and give feedback. - At the end of the seven weeks, I will send each learner a video with feedback on their progress and pronunciation. - I will also provide extra videos that learners can watch and games that they can play at home. Week 1: Pets We will practice using the verbs “avoir” (to have). Week 2: Farm animals We will practice using the verb “entendre” (to hear). Week 3: Jungle animals We will practice using the verb “être’’ (to be). Week 4: Ocean animals We will practice using the verb ‘‘voir’’ (to see). Week 5: Forest animals We will practice using the verb ‘‘aimer’’ (to like/love). Week 6: Wild animals We will practice using verbs that describe how the animals move. Throughout the six weeks, learners will revisit vocabulary that was taught in previous weeks to optimize retention.
