In this class students will learn learn how to change mixed numbers to improper fractions. The students will also learn how to change improper fractions to mixed numbers. Students in this class should know how to multiply numbers.

The lesson will begin with a review of the multiplication facts. Next, using slides I will go over the following vocabulary words with examples: mixed numbers and improper fractions. Then, using Zoom whiteboard I will model how to change an improper fraction to a mixed number using the I do, we do, you do strategy. The students will be given many opportunities to show understanding of this skill by solving problems on the whiteboard. Next, using Zoom whiteboard I will model how to change mixed numbers to improper fractions using the I do, we do, you do strategy. Again, the students will be given many opportunities to show understanding of this skill by solving problems on the whiteboard. The students will interact with me using slides and Zoom whiteboard and discussion.
