In this 8 lesson course, learners will cover the fundamentals of fractions. This is aimed at students aged 8-9, but I am happy to include others if this feels like the lessons that would suit them best.

I am a certified and experienced elementary teacher from the UK, and I love helping learners find the confidence with learning. Fractions is a common area of math where students get 'stuck', so spending some focused time learning, recapping or revising fractions can be really beneficial.

I teach each lesson similar to how I'd instruct students in a standard classroom, encouraging them to join in, and work on math problems along side me. This allows scaffolded support for those that need it, but learners can also work a little at their own pace.

I will supply an optional worksheet after each lesson.

Lesson 4 - Improper fractions and mixed numbers

Lesson 5 - Adding and subtracting fractions

Lesson 7 - Fractions of a quantity

Lesson 8 - Revision of all learning in prior lessons
