분수 기초(8-10세)

Students will learn fraction foundations using note taking, discussion, games, and body movement activities. Students will need some type of tangible on hand for Friday's for an interactive lesson. This class will meet twice a week for 4 weeks. Each week will build upon each other and each weekly session will build on the previous session. Your student also needs paper and a writing utensil. In my classes I like to use a variety of way to learn- body movements, tangibles, and note taking. 

Week 1 - Foundations of Fractions (understanding the differences between numerator and denominator and drawing figures)
Week 2- Mixed Numbers and Improper Fractions (using figures to draw fractions based on their numerator and denominator) 
Week 3- Understanding Fractions (practicing what we have learned in weeks 1-3)
Week 4- Applying Fractions (drawing fractions using figures and using figures to write fractions)
Week 5- Word Problems
Week 6-Recap and practice
