Students will discover that fractions can be simple and fun. Students will learn, "What is a fraction?" They will learn the placement of the numerator and denominator. They will learn how to form basic fractions by breaking 1 whole object into multiple parts (1/2, 1/3, 1/4, 1/6 and 1/8). We will examine fractions through pizza, popsicles, donuts and even corn.
