Supplies needed for experiments will be provided at-least a week in advance.  All experiments are optional and most will use simple household items.

A: Tues. September 14th:
Metal spoon
String or yarn: about a long as you are tall
Wooden ruler or thick plastic ruler

A: September 21st:
Coin
Tape
Mason jar or similar
Water

A: September 28th:
Metal spoon
Plastic spoon
Wooden popsicle stick
Butter
Something to stick onto the butter on each spoon or stick  (piece of cereal, tiny piece of candy, tiny bead, etc)
Bowl
Water (we will heat it up in the microwave in class)

October 26th: 
Ocean Waves
clear 20 ounce soda bottle (cleaned and label removed)
water
blue food color
oil (baby oil (works best), or cooking oil)

January 4th
Water Cycle
1 small jar or clear cup 
Shaving foam
Blue food color
Water
Dropper or pipette 

February 1st: 
States of Matter 
Gallon Ziplock bag
Pint Ziplock Bag (sandwich bag will work)
4 Cups of Ice
Towel, Oven Mit, or Winter Gloves (to protect hands from the coldness)
1 Tablespoon of Sugar
1/2 Cup Half and Half
1/4 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract (or any other flavor extract you would like to try) 
1/2 Cup Salt
Spoon

For Chocolate add the following to all the other ingredients: 2 teaspoons cocoa powder + 1/2 teaspoon sugar (note: you will still need the 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla)
