F1 is the only sport I've ever followed closely.  The beautiful scenery makes it feel like I'm going on a world tour every year.  The drivers all have such unique personalities; I feel like I know them.  The commentators crack me up every time with their British one-liners!  The races themselves can be so exciting, or equally uneventful, you never know!  The hardest thing about being a Formula 1 fan is not knowing enough other fans.  You want someone to talk to about what you just saw, to share your excitement and frustration with.  Well here we are!

**The age range for this class is FLEXIBLE.  If you are excited about F1, you're welcome to join!

We'll meet weekly to talk about the race that just happened.  (We don't meet every single week; only on race weeks!)  Meeting in the middle of the week gives everyone enough time to watch the race.  We'll review the geography of the country, and learn some fun facts about where the race is taking place.  We'll talk about where everyone stands on championship points. Then we'll just chat the rest of the time about our favorite parts, and make predictions for the next race. 

How to watch the races:  Since these races happen all over the world, they almost always have to be recorded unless you plan on staying up all night!  I personally love my F1 App.  It's available on the Roku now, but it works better on the phone if you want to use all the options.  It's $10 a month, and with it you can watch any F1 race ever recorded, from the cockpit of every driver.  It's super cool.   We were recording them on ESPN2 to see them on the TV before the app recently became available on the Roku.  I'm in the United States; your viewing options may vary in other parts of the world.
