Are you interested in the connection between psychology and law? If so, forensic psychology might be for you. In this class, we will dive deep into seven topics (profiling, evidence, lying, young offenders, psychopathy, insanity, cults). Our lessons will consist of video lectures with review questions, a critical thinking assignment, a test-your-knowledge quiz, and three challenge writing assignments.

This class focuses on criminal behavior. I will focus on the psychology behind why people commit crimes, but I will not focus on specific details of the crimes. For example, I may define a crime (such as homicide is where someone is killed by another person), but I will not give graphic details or pictures of the crime.
My focus is on the psychological research on what makes a person commit a specific crime.
