This is a beginners level elementary art class. Students will learn many different skills and understand how to use a variety of art materials. Elements of art and principals of design will be incorporated in the lessons and the children will discover where and when to apply them. Each week, a new lesson will be taught and the art mediums will vary. At the end of each class, the completed artwork will showcase what the child has learned! 

Each lesson has been designed to include a bit of science, history, math or literature, which is all age appropriate and developmentally suitable. 

*This is a flexible schedule class. Each lesson will be delivered via a prerecorded video that will be uploaded into the classroom every week. Upon completion of the art project, learners will be encouraged to upload a picture of their piece to share with the class and so the instructor can check for proper understanding of featured techniques and concepts. Each student will be required to comment on others' art works a total of 8 times throughout the course in order to to develop a sense of community in the class. The instructor will be available to help and will provide individual feedback throughout the course.

**Participation in the classroom discussion will be required to check for proper understanding and to promote a sense of community among enrolled learners. Participation may include thoughtful posts, offering feedback to other learners and/or uploading videos of thoughts or questions.

* Flexible schedule classes are wonderful for families who have busy schedules or are sometimes unable to commit to a certain day or time.
