By the end of the course the learner should have achieved 3 main skills: 1. Identify and being able to implement the Elements and Principles of Art and Design and the 5 types of subject matter. 2. Control of a variety of art media. 3. Knowing when an artwork is finished or when to come back to it for finishing touches and being able to photograph and display it properly.
I have been teaching this and similar drawing and painting lessons for 20+ years to a variety of age ranges.

Each week students will be asked to view the material and participate in the painting activities. Coursework should take approximately 45 minutes to an hour. Homework is completing the activities and submitting them to the classroom for instructor feedback.수업 외 주당 0 - 1 시간

For the Drawing Lessons: Drawing Paper Pencil - that can be sharpened (mechanical pencils are okay for outlines but difficult to shade with) - a variety of drawing pencils are helpful but not necessary Eraser Optional Blending Tools - blending stump, Q-tip, tissue, etc. Markers Colored Pencils Tape For the Watercolor Lesson: Watercolor or Mixed Media Paper - to prevent frustration this thick paper is best, thinner paper soaks up the water and wears holes into it quickly Pencil Eraser Watercolor Paint Soft Paint Brushes - a variety of sizes Water Cup Paper Towel For the Acrylic Painting Lesson: Painting surface 8” X 10” or 9” X 12” (this can vary with what supplies you have at home): Stretched canvas, canvas board, cardboard, thick paper, recycled materials like the inside of a cereal box, etc. Pencil Acrylic paint - a variety of colors but especially red, yellow, blue, and white Brushes - a variety of sizes Water Cup Paper Towel A placemat and paint shirt or apron are recommended For the Mixed Media Lesson: A combination of any materials you would like to use
