Course Outline:

Week 1: "My name is ____.", "Nice to meet you", the vowel sounds "A, E, I, O, U" (enrichment: a sample vocabulary word for each vowel)
Week 2: "hello", "goodbye", "cat", "monkey", "1, 2, 3"  (enrichment: His/her/its name is ______.)
Week 3: "good morning", "good afternoon", "good evening", "I will sleep" (enrichment: the Colombian flag colors)
Week 4: "bear", "how are you?", "(I’m) well, and you?"
Week 5: "I like... / I don't like..." with fruit vocabulary, "What do you like?"
Week 6: "I want.../ I don't want...'." with animal vocabulary, "What do you want?"      
              - Week 1 and 2 enrichment: extra vocabulary
Week 7: "My favorite color is _____." with color vocabulary, "What is your favorite color?"
Week 8: Extra material and student project
Week 9: Vocabulary - "house", "apartment", "bedroom", "bed", "window", "door"
"What do you have in your bedroom?", "I have a ______ in my bedroom.", ''I live in a house/an apartment."
Week 10: "bathroom", "toilet", "sink", "shower"

Students will have opportunities to extend their knowledge and/or review past material throughout the lesson via the class activities and discussion post assignments.

I passed the Spanish Praxis exam required to teach Spanish in my state and taught middle school Spanish as well as private Spanish lessons. I have also formally worked as a Spanish interpreter to interpret parent-teacher conferences. While I am Hispanic, I am not a native Spanish speaker.

Every week, learners will create a short audio or video of themselves saying/singing the week's Q&A song and share it with other learners (if others are enrolled). They will also complete a project during weeks 8 and 12.

I will watch each learner's videos and write encouraging comments. I will also assist with creating the Spanish sentences needed to complete their 2 projects throughout the course.
