In this 16-week class, students will learn the basic concepts of Artificial Intelligence, including machine learning, natural language processing, and computer vision. They will also learn how to create their own AI programs using Python and other tools. The class will be divided into the following weeks and topics: Week 1: Introduction to AI This week, we will learn about the basics of AI and what it entails. We will discuss the definition, history, and current state of AI development, and understand the different types of AI algorithms and technologies. Week 2: Automation with AI This week, we will learn about how AI can be used to automate repetitive tasks and reduce the burden of manual work. We will discuss the advantages and limitations of AI automation and how it can be applied in various industries. Week 3: Time Management with AI This week, we will learn how AI can be used to manage our time more efficiently. We will discuss how AI can help prioritize tasks and schedule our day, and understand the benefits and limitations of using AI for time management. Week 4: Budgeting with AI This week, we will learn how AI can be used to manage our finances and make investment decisions. We will discuss the benefits and limitations of using AI for budgeting and investment, and understand how AI can help us make informed financial decisions. Week 5: Improving habits with AI This week, we will learn how AI can be used to monitor our habits. We will discuss the benefits and limitations of using AI for monitoring habits, and understand how AI can help us maintain a healthy lifestyle. Week 6: Enhancing Creativity with AI This week, we will learn how AI can be used to enhance our creativity. We will discuss the benefits and limitations of using AI for creativity, and understand how AI can help generate new ideas and content. Week 7: How to setup AI for different tasks This week, we will learn about how to setup AI for different tasks Week 8: Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Chatbots This week, we will learn about Natural Language Processing (NLP) and chatbots. We will understand the basics of NLP and how chatbots can be used to automate customer service and improve user experience. Week 9: Speech Recognition and Voice Assistants This week, we will learn about speech recognition and voice assistants. We will understand the basics of speech recognition technology and how voice assistants can be used to automate tasks and improve user experience. Week 10: Predictive Analytics and Machine Learning This week, we will learn about predictive analytics and machine learning. We will understand how machine learning algorithms can be used to make predictions and automate decision-making, and the benefits and limitations of using AI for predictive analytics. Week 11: Personalizing User Experiences with AI This week, we will learn how AI can be used to personalize user experiences. We will discuss the benefits and limitations of using AI for personalization, and understand how AI can be used to improve user experience in various industries. Week 12: AI in Education This week, we will learn about the applications of AI in education. We will discuss how AI can be used to improve learning outcomes and automate tasks in the education sector and understand the benefits and limitations of using AI in education. Week 13: Using ChatGPT to Improve Task Setting Skills Week 14: Using ChatGPT for Life Hacks Week 15: Using ChatGPT for Homework Help Week 16: Using ChatGPT for Daily Life By the end of the class, learners will have gained a solid foundation in Artificial Intelligence and will have the skills to create their own intelligent programs using Python and other tools. The flexible schedule (Flex Class) allows your learners to watch the pre-recorded videos and do them at a time that is FUN for them! You can also spend extra time on the topics your child is most interested in. Since this is a flex class with no live meetings, students can log in at a convenient time to complete the week's lesson. We will be going through each week as a group and I will post the lesson weekly (depending on which day you started). The videos will contain the information required to give students a good understanding of each topic and each one will include homework for the students to undertake during the week, as part of a project. After watching each video and completing the homework assignments, students will be provided with feedback and the specific next steps on how to create a process to manage their finances successfully. Time frame for the Week: Mondays - The teacher will post the information needed for the week. Students can submit questions. Tuesdays - Wednesday - The teacher can answer any questions pertaining to the topic of the week. The students will need to complete any homework assignments and answer any questions in the discussion. Thursday - Students need to have all tasks completed and uploaded in the classroom for teacher feedback and discussion. Students will discuss it among themselves. Friday - The teacher will provide feedback to the class and individual students. Saturday - Sunday - The teacher will be available to answer any questions that the students may have for the week or the next week. Please note: This course requires no prior experience. *If you do not see a time or date listed for a class that interests you, please message me with a few possible dates and times, and I will do my best to offer a session that will work for your schedule. ▬▬▬▬▬▬ Concessions ▬▬▬▬▬▬ For parents/families who feel their child would benefit from this course, but their budget does not allow for it, I do offer a number of discounts for families of lower income. This course is designed to be safe and accessible for all learners. There is no content that should be upsetting or scary. However, students will be encouraged to think critically and solve problems, which can sometimes be challenging. Parental support in encouraging persistence and resilience would be beneficial. Please note that we will not be using third-party tools. We will be are only using resources in a screen-share by the teacher in the class.
