In this class we will use number bonds to learn the relationship between addition and subtraction problems. This will lead us to finding missing addends in math problems. We will use the vocabulary part +part= whole and whole-part=part I will give the students examples of a number bond and show them how to use one. The students will then help me complete a number bond. Students will then use the number bond to write equations. We will then check our answers. I will then give students an equation with a missing addend. The students will use a number bond to help them solve the problem and check their answer. The students will be able to talk through the problem and ask questions while they work on their problem. Students can enable the draw tool in zoom and they will get chances to work through the problem on the screen if they would like.
