This course is designed for  5th graders to get extra help and excel in Math.  
The goal of the class is to keep 5th graders ahead of the curve and not fall behind in this subject.  The class will meet twice a week and each class will be 30 minutes.  It will continue for the whole school year.  All students will be active participants and will be asked to answer questions to make sure they are following along.  Feedback and concerns will be addressed to parents so that this class can achieve the desired results.  
Topics to be covered:
Unit One: Understanding place values with decimals and how to round them.
Unit Two: Multiplication and division of fractions including word problems.
Unit Three: Multiplication and Division of decimals including word problems.
Unit Four: Addition and Subtraction of decimals and fractions including word problems.
Unit Five: Plotting points on the coordinate plane.
