Each week we will focus on one concept or skill from fifth grade skill sets. Students will be given direct instruction of the concept of focus. They will then be given example problems to work on in whole group, following the teacher’s example and directions. Students will learn and/or improve on their fifth grade math skills. This class will fit the child who is in fifth grade, the child who will be going into fifth grade or the child that would benefit from additional review of the fifth grade concepts learned previously!

Optional worksheets will be provided following each class for those learners or families who wish to extend their understanding and/or practice their skills independently. Each learner should come prepared with something to write with and something to write on (white board & markers/ pencil & paper, etc). Other supplies needed will be posted in the classroom each week, but will not be more than materials that can be found in the home!
