Does your learner want to learn to crochet and express their creativity in a new way? Join me for this fun and engaging 5-week course where learners ages 8-12 will learn the basic crochet stitches. Learners will be introduced to the chain, slip stitch, single crochet, and double crochet stitches. In every class meeting (weeks 2-5), learners will have time to practice their stitches with a new crochet project. We will make a scarf, dishcloth, hair scrunchie, and bag. I have been crocheting for over 30 years! My mother taught me how to crochet when I was 8 years old, and I've never stopped. Crocheting is a wonderful way to release stress and anxiety, while being creative at the same time. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- CLASS BREAKDOWN: Each class meeting will follow this format: Introductions + get to know you or icebreaker game (5 minutes) Show and tell of previous class projects (voluntary, 2-5 minutes) Lesson on required stitches for this week's project (5-10 minutes) Introduction of weekly project, demonstration of the pattern. (5-10 minutes) Learners will practice the stitches learned in the class while making their creation for the duration of the class time. Dishcloth, Single Crochet/Moss Stitch
This week's project is a dishcloth. Based on the learners' comfort level with the single crochet, we can make our dishcloth using just single crochet stitches, or combine them with chain stitches to create the moss stitch pattern. I will demonstrate both. 45 분 온라인 라이브 레슨

Hair Scrunchie, Slip Stitch
We are doing a fun project this week. A hair scrunchie! We will learn the slip stitch, and I'll get you started making your scrunchie. I will show you how to finish your scrunchie too, so you can finish on your own time. 45 분 온라인 라이브 레슨

Learners will require these materials for this class: - Yarn (I recommend using a size #4 for all projects in this class) - Hook (recommended size will be on your yarn label. I use size 6.0 mm with size 4 yarn) - Scissors - Hair elastic - Yarn needle (also called a tapestry needle)
