This one-time fashion drawing class is perfect for a Winter afternoon imagining a snowy land far, far away. You will draw your own costume for a snow queen, winter fairy or ice elf. If you love the costumes in fairy tales and fantasy films then this class is an opportunity to create your own fantasy fashion designs. With the help of a printable fashion figure template, this class is suitable for complete beginners as well as intermediate fashion designers, who might want to bring their sketchbook (or iPad) and draw their own figures. Class Structure: We start by looking at beautiful images of snow queens and magical winter fashion and discuss what kind of costume we want to design. Everyone starts to sketch their own unique costume design ideas. I provide a fashion figure template that you can print out in advance and that makes the design process easy and fun for all levels of experience. You will create a colour palette for your costume and learn how to draw textures like fur and ice sparkle. At the end of the class you have the opportunity to share your costume design drawing if you wish, and tell us about your imaginary queen or fairy.

You will receive a template with two fashion figure to print out before class. If your child is a speedy drawer you can print out more. You need either my template or an A4 sketchbook to draw your own figure. ** If you do NOT know how to draw a figure or do NOT have a printer please message me in advance. I will not be teaching figure drawing skills in this class. I can point you to resources to help you draw your own fashion figure (croquis) in advance of the class. Pencil and eraser are essential, then choose your favourite colour medium: - colouring pencils - markers - water colours - glitter, glue or interesting wrapping paper to cut into shapes
