In Fairytale Adventure: Cinderella students will begin class with a 5-8 minute physical and voice warm-up. They will then learned the definition of a cue. Next, students will learn different cues they might hear in the story. Each cue will have a different song, movement, or action with it. As they listen to the story, they will be listening for the cues they learned. When they hear a certain cue, they will perform the action/song that they learned beforehand. Students will learn the definition of a cue. Then they will take cues they learn for the story and apply an action, line, or song to the cue. This will help students with listening, retention, and the beginnings of theatre while having fun.
My background is in theatre. I currently am a teaching artist for a professional theatre center and also perform in shows as well. I hope to have the honor to share my knowledge with students and share the joy of theatre and story telling.
Students will need arms length room to move around, if possible. Shoes are preferred, but students may have bare feet.
