US Grade Pre-Kindergarten - 2
Beginner Level
In the first part of the class, we will discuss what fairy tales and what fairy tale characters children are familiar with. I will introduce some common fairy tale characters, like princess, knight, dragon, and fairy. We will discuss the behaviors of these characters and the sounds that might be associated with them. We will play the musical “Guess Who? game": listen to 4 short fragments of music and try to pair them with the 4 characters discussed earlier. We will move with the music while...
We will practice listening to short segments of classical music and expecting "clues" from the music. Also, students will be encouraged to use their imagination throughout the class. Especially, while creating an open-ended craft.
Materials for craft 1. Paper towel tube or 2 toilet paper tubes 2. Small piece of any shiny paper (could be aluminum foil) 3. Scraps of construction paper or any other types of colored paper 4. Colored tissue paper or construction paper 5. Glue 6. Small scissors 7. Scotch tape 8. Markers
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
For the craft portion of the class, parental help is required for younger students (ages 4-5) and recommended for older students (ages 6-7) due to the use of scissors.
