In this class, we will be learning how to read with expressions. We will be practicing with the book 'Green Eggs and Ham' by Dr. Seuss. The teacher will read a short story to the students then the story will be discussed. We will discuss characters and how they may sound or interact with other characters. We will discuss the mood of the story and how different places in the story require different types of reading. We will reread the story. The teacher will read a sentence or two then the students will read a sentence or two and practice the voices and inflections we have discussed. After the story is finished, we will discuss how we can improve on our reading. The story will be read again by the students and they will build on their new knowledge of reading. It is a fun way to practice moods, voices. and reading styles while interacting with other classmates.
