수업 소개

영어레벨 - B2+
미국 10학년 - 12학년 학년
레벨 Beginner - Intermediate
In this Abstract Painting with Palette Knives class, you will learn how to create expressive and textured artwork using a nontraditional painting technique. We will cover the fundamentals of abstract and non-representational art, how to use palette knives to apply and manipulate paint, and techniques for building depth, movement, and contrast in your work. Additionally, you will explore color, patterns, texture, balance, mark-making, and layering techniques to create a visually dynamic composition.

The class is structured into four engaging parts:

Introduction (10 minutes): Meet your instructor, receive an overview of abstract painting, and explore the materials.

Demonstration (10 minutes): Follow a step-by-step tutorial on how to begin your painting.

Hands-on Painting (60 minutes): Create your own abstract piece with guidance and feedback. Here, you will use palette knives to apply and manipulate paint while practicing techniques to build depth, movement, and contrast. You will also explore color, patterns, texture, balance, mark-making, and layering techniques to create a visually dynamic composition.

Wrap-up & Clean-up (10 minutes): Reflect on your work, share insights, and receive a complimentary poster as a keepsake.

My teaching style is interactive, encouraging, and hands-on, ensuring that every learner feels comfortable experimenting with new techniques. Instead of a lecture-based approach, this class focuses on guided demonstrations, real-time feedback, and individual expression. You will receive personalized attention in a small group setting, where I will circulate to offer support and answer questions as you paint. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced artist, this experience is designed to spark creativity and build confidence in abstract painting.
