Each week, we will explore a new concept in physics. Students will hypothesize, experiment with digital simulations, and discuss outcomes to develop an intuitive understanding of physics. Each class can stand alone, but students will benefit from consistent attendance and the unique content of each session. This class aims to help students develop an interest in science and a strong foundation of understanding for later studies. This class is excellent for students with an interest in science, engineering, robotics, electronics, architecture, STEM in general, or just a love of making fun, exciting discoveries with others. We will use free simulations available through the University of Colorado, so there will be no materials to purchase for class. This content is intended for students from 6th-9th grades. Week 1: Projectile Motion Week 2: Skate Park: Kinetic and Potential Energy Week 3: Diffusion Week 4: Static Electricity Weekly topics may include: Electrical Circuits Density Collisions Kinetic and Potential Energy Gravity Waves Masses and Springs Energy Forms and Changes Capacitors Projectile Motion Probability Charges Much More!
