The course will provide students with an introduction to the nursing profession, various career paths within nursing, admissions requirements for nursing schools, and the academic pathways to a nursing career. 

Additionally, it will cover what nursing school is like and how to succeed in it. The course will also explain the nature of nursing, briefly introduce nursing history, and discuss the roles and responsibilities of nurses. Video content will encompass all the necessary information to understand each topic comprehensively. 

Each lesson will include a quiz; some will require students to complete an activity or homework. Students will receive feedback upon completing any homework assignment.

The course is designed for any learner interested in a career as a nurse. It offers a comprehensive introduction to the profession and the necessary steps to get there.

Introduction to Nursing

 This lesson provides an overview of the nursing profession and reviews the nursing roles and responsibilities of RNs and LPNs.

 This lesson is about different specialties in nursing (e.g., pediatrics, geriatrics, oncology). We will review non-bedside roles in nursing and advanced nursing specialties (nurse practitioners, nurse midwives, and nurse aesthetics).

Educational Pathway to Nursing

 This lesson will focus on the academic requirements for nursing programs. We will go over an overview of nursing degrees, including the differences between ADN, BSN, DNP, and PhD. Furthermore, we will discuss the variances between diplomas, associate degrees, bachelor's degrees, and advanced degrees in nursing. We will also cover the educational path to becoming a nurse.

 This lesson provides students with an opportunity to conduct some career exploration and research in nursing.

I hold a master's degree in education focusing on guidance counseling and a diploma in practical nursing.
