Learners will become familiar with key terms such as phytophagous, camouflage, nocturnal, etc. Learners will understand the food chain relationships that drive stick insects' behaviours. Learners should grow their passion for the study of insects.

Students are encouraged to continue their learning after class, by drawing their own insect and camouflaging it. What colour should the insect be to blend in with leaves? What about snow?
