수업 소개

Have you ever been to Japan and gotten stuck? Do you want to go to Japan, but are too scared because you don't know the language? Well, have no fear, this series will definitely help you. This course will bring you essential Japanese that you need to comfortably travel, as well as, provide you with some history and culture behind the words.

I really wish I'd had this series before I went to live in Japan. I was thrown into Japanese life without any help, not knowing what to say or how to respond to situations. I probably made many mistakes. But with this Japanese course, you won't be making the same mistakes that I did.

You will be able to:

Week 1:
1. Know how to ask questions about a temple and understand them
2. Know what to do at temples
3. Know what to do at a Shrine
4. Know how to ask questions about a shrine and understand them

Week 2:
1. Know how to tell a restaurant you are waiting for someone
2. Know how to tell the person you are looking around for your friend
3. Know how to tell a waiter they brought the wrong food
4. Know how to tell the waiter you had more food

Week 3:
1. Know how to tell someone you forgot an item on a train
2. Find out about specialty souvenirs in different prefectures

Week 4:
1. Know how to respond and act when going to someone's house in Japan
2. Know how to split a credit card into different payments
3. Know how to make change (from bigger bills to smaller bills)

Week 5:
1. Know how to buy a phone card and where to find payphones
2. Know soccer terminology

Plus, as an extra bonus, I will throw in some interesting facts about the words you are learning called Sam's fun facts; something that other courses probably won't mention

There is a pre-requisite. You will need to either know the content in the Essential Japanese for Travel Class 1, 2 and 3 or have taken the class.
