Learners will improve their knowledge of paragraph and essay writing. The class is designed to include essays the learner is likely to encounter again in higher learning academic classes.

 I have been teaching English in both public school (High School English 1-4) and online for over 15 years. I have also earned a B.A in English and Culture and a M.A. in English and Literature.

Classes 1 and 2 will be instruction on the basics of paragraph and essay writing. Beginning with week 3, learners will be assigned the type of essay lectured on and discussed in class, which will be due at the beginning of the following class. The instructor will explain the format of each essay in class before it is assigned. The final essay should be uploaded to the instructor as a word document or a pages (apple) document. Google docs are okay as long as the instructor is given permission to edit ahead of time. The instructor will explain how and where to upload the essay during the first class.  This class is for an English grade. The instructor holds a BA in English, Literature, and Culture and a MA in English. He is highly qualified to offer a legitimate grade for the course.

All essays will be professionally graded by the instructor and returned to the student with suggestions on how to improve. If the student improves the essay and resubmits it. The improved essay will be returned to the student on the final day of class and that learner will receive extra credit. Grading these essays is extremely time consuming since I do actually read every single word. I usually spend two hours grading for every one hour of class time. I will endeavor to grade each essay in a timely manner.
