레벨 Beginner
I have been teaching in numerous capacities for 10+ years. This ESL English Pronunciation Course is designed to allow students to embrace 12 weeks of instruction in a group setting that is relaxed and welcoming. My goal is to inspire and motivate critical thinking skills and tools that build self-confidence when communicating. Here is what to expect in my class… Week 1 - April 1st will be an introduction to English sounds especially vowels and consonants. Week 2 - April 8th will focus on ending sounds and blends like the “t” in "cat". Week 3 - April 15th will be about learning the difference between short and long vowel sounds. Week 4 - April 22nd will focus on word stress to identify which part of certain words should be emphasized when spoken. Week 5 - April 29th will show students the proper way to ask questions and make statements. Week 6 - May 6th will show students how to link words together quickly together so they sound smooth. Week 7 - May 13th will teach students how to speak in the right rhythm to say words in the right beat. Weeks 8-12 - May 20th & 27th, June 3rd, 10th, & 17th will help students learn to practice speaking in real-life situations progressively while target specific areas of awareness.

As a native English-speaking educator with over 10 years of experience working with students of all ages, I have contributed to the lives of many students. My work continues to build a foundation for clear communication and self-confidence within the non-native English-speaking population.
As an approved and trained educator within the Wake County Public School system, I currently teach English language classes to elementary and high school ESL students alike. Additionally, I have experience teaching students in the Baltimore Public School System as an intervention educator focused on reading fluency, comprehension, decoding, and pronunciation for ESL and native English speakers alike.
As an educator at MioLingos, my experience also includes one-on-one ESL pronunciation and vocabulary instruction via weekly online and in-person sessions.
My ESL English Pronunciation instruction is designed to allow students to learn the nuances of the English language while practicing in a safe and nurturing environment that builds self-confidence for everyday communication.
