Calling all young explorers! Join our Adventure Book Club, where we’ll journey through exciting stories filled with mystery, action, and fun! Each week, we’ll read a chapter from our chosen book and come together to discuss the story, share ideas, and learn new vocabulary in a friendly and supportive space. Students will develop their reading comprehension, vocabulary, speaking, and discussion skills in English. They’ll also learn how to express ideas about characters, plot, and themes in a structured way. We will explore adventure stories that feature thrilling journeys, brave characters, and exciting challenges. Along the way, we’ll focus on new words and phrases, reading fluency, and critical thinking skills as we discuss the book together. Each week, students will: Read a chapter from the book before class. Begin with a recap and discussion of key moments. Learn and practice new vocabulary. Take part in interactive activities, games, and role-playing to bring the story to life. Engage in small-group or full-class discussions to build confidence in speaking. This class is designed to be fun, engaging, and interactive! I use slides, visuals, and discussion prompts to guide conversations, along with games, role-play, and storytelling activities to reinforce learning. I believe in a student-centred, interactive approach that encourages participation. My goal is to create a warm, supportive environment where learners feel comfortable practising their English skills while enjoying great stories. This class is perfect for young English learners who love adventure and want to build their confidence in reading and speaking. Whether they are already a book lover or just starting out, learners are welcome to join anytime—just be ready to catch up on the story! Let’s go on an adventure together! From February to July 2025, we’ll embark on an incredible journey with Tom, a young boy who sets out to cycle around the world! This exciting series by Alastair Humphreys, told in three parts, will take us through Europe, Africa, the Americas, and Asia, filled with thrilling adventures along the way. From July to September 2025, we’ll switch gears to follow Jack Stalwart—a schoolboy by day and a secret agent by night! These action-packed stories by Elizabeth Singer Hunt will take us on daring missions across the globe. And from September 2025 onward, who knows where our next adventure will lead? Stay tuned!

I’ve had my fair share of adventures, travelling to over 30 countries and living on 4 continents, with unforgettable experiences, particularly in Africa! As a CELTA-qualified English teacher and a mom of two curious young learners, I know how to captivate children’s attention. I bring this insight into the classroom by turning stories and activities into exciting, interactive experiences that make learning English both fun and effective.
