In this ongoing class, students will build in Minecraft Creative mode. They will learn about one famous buildings from the past or present day, by building it. Each week there will be a new mystery building to build and a mini lesson on who built it, where is it in the world, and why did it get built. Great introduction to geography! Student will learn about famous buildings or structures from around the world. Student will build them while learning to follow patterns. Students will learn the location of the building, who built it, and why it was built. Students will learn to be respectfully when sharing about their building. Students will learn some architectural terminology. Student will learn to count and add on Student will learn shapes 2D and 3D Student will learn world geography and history.
I am trained with applications such as: Tinkercad, Acura, 3D printing, Virtual Reality software, electric circuits, and block programming with Scratch and Minecraft. My family members are avid Minecrafters and I am a certified elementary teacher, who often incorporated many Minecraft theme classes into my curriculum. My cousin is an architect, she was my roommate for 6 years, so I gained an inform education through her by osmosis. My husband and I built our house from the foundation up, therefore, I have a lot of practical knowledge too.
Learners will need another device with Minecraft Creative Mode. As well as a way to be able to access zoom, where there will be visuals and written instructions on what to build with the teacher.
