Finally a self-paced version of my best-selling 'Confidence with Grammar' live class! In this 6 lessons, learners tackle some core parts of grammar to help them develop confidence and skills with their writing. 🌟 Boost Confidence and Master Core Skills This class is designed to help teens strengthen foundational grammar skills in a way that builds their confidence. Each lesson focuses on a single area of grammar, making it easier for students to grasp concepts step by step. Designed for teens working at lower grade levels, I provide extra guidance and support to help build confidence and skills while exploring grammar and writing. ✨ Why Study Grammar? A solid grasp of grammar is essential for clear and effective writing. It gives students the tools they need to express their ideas with clarity, structure their thoughts logically, and make a powerful impact through their words. Building a vocabulary around grammar and writing develops our learners' ability to understand why a sentence does or does not make sense. The self-paced lessons are delivered via Nearpod, an online platform where learners will be guided through my videos and activities. All work will be completed online, where I am able to access and assess the work submitted. I use short videos mixed in with activities to create an engaging learning experience. I teach this as a weekly ongoing class as well. It is my most popular class on Outschool.

👋 Hi there! I'm Ms. Riot, your certified and passionate educator with a flair for innovation and a heart for student growth. Hailing from London, England, I qualified as a teacher in 2007 with my Bachelor of Arts (with Honours) in Primary Education and certified with my Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Here in the UK, I am certified to teach from 5-18 years old.
🌏I have taught around the world, including at a not-for-profit summer camp in New York, volunteering in Kenya and India, and completing a teaching placement in Arizona.
🏫As a classroom teacher, I developed creative classrooms where students felt safe enough to fail. My passion for reading also allowed me to develop a new career as a high school librarian, supporting teens who had not discovered that a library could be a space for them. I have also taught students English up to the age of 16 at a prestigious online school.
🖼️More recently, I have worked within the learning department in a large museum, teaching at a range of online schools and designing curriculum for education resource companies. I also deliver lectures to trainee teachers, supporting them to develop their practice.리뷰
