Certified multiple subject teacher with more than 10 years of teaching and tutoring English as a second language (ESOL) and English language arts privately, in small groups, and whole class. The benefit of having a certified teacher as a tutor is the ability to differentiate lessons and strategies to help students learn at their own pace. Students will be encouraged to process English language arts concepts through a deeper lens that will improve their confidence in reading. This ongoing class also provides more individualized instruction. If you're able to share some of your learner's English language arts background before class, it will help make these sessions more effective and beneficial. If the learner's information is given prior to class the teacher can provide material as well to help strengthen the learner's overall English language arts understanding. Helpful information to provide: 1. What concepts of ELA does he/she need to work on or dislike? 2. What is your main goal for these sessions? (homework help, classwork help, review, school prep, test prep, etc.) 3. What grade is he/she in? 4. What concepts of ELA is he/she very good at or like? Learners are required to reach out ahead of time with the work they have or concepts on which they want to work. If they do not do so prior to 48 hours before the session, the teacher can reach out to reschedule
